A new safe drops every day.
Crackle is a daily safe-cracking puzzle for your XenForo forum. Every day at midnight a new vault appears with a secret combination. Your members have a handful of attempts to deduce it — and only one shot per person, per day.
After each guess, the vault tells you two numbers:
You don't see which digits are which. Just the totals. Use multiple guesses to deduce the rest.
Difficulty rotates by day of week
Streaks, leaderboards, bragging rights
Every member gets their own play history with current streak, longest streak, win rate, and average attempts to crack. The full forum leaderboard sorts four ways so there's always a column you're winning at. Beat yesterday's number. Beat your rival. Beat the brutal Sunday vault.
Share your run
When you crack the code (or get locked out), Crackle builds a copy-and-paste share grid using emoji squares — green for locked, orange for close, black for miss. It pastes cleanly into Discord, Slack, your forum, anywhere. Members who play can also post their result directly into a configured share thread with one click, opening the daily debate over who got there in fewer guesses.

- Locked — digits in the right slot
- Close — digits in the code, but in the wrong slot
You don't see which digits are which. Just the totals. Use multiple guesses to deduce the rest.

- Mon-Tue · Easy — 3 digits, 6 attempts
- Wed-Thu · Standard — 4 digits, 8 attempts
- Fri-Sat · Hard — 5 digits, 10 attempts
- Sun · Brutal — 4 digits, 8 attempts, repeats allowed
