Auctions question - issue?

Hi,

One of my users is reporting this:
Hey guys, I just posted my first auction. Maybe its just my view because its mine but it looks like the price/starting bid is $0.00. I set it for $15.

Here's what Im seeing during the creation process. There's only one space for price, thats the starting bid. Even dollars dont have a decimal, so its not that (I tried to add .00, wont let me)

I added a note to the description what the starting bid was in case its not visible. Guess we'll see if somebody bids, if the $0 price doesnt discourage it.

Also is there a way to set a specific end time, like 9 pm on the 3rd day? Or is a 3 day auction just gonna be 72 hours after its posted, or 48 for 2 days, etc?

Ive got the countdown it just started for 72 hours. I like to have them ending at a convenient time for most people to be around, speeds up collecting for one thing

Im often up during the wee hours, might post one at 1 am but I wouldnt necessarily want it to end at 1 am. If you see what I mean. If thats a set thing I'll just post them during prime time, no big deal

Any thoughts on what could be wrong that the starting price isn't showing?

The starting price is being enforced and it even lists it. It will say "Minimum next bid: $15.00"

So you are saying that the system accept a starting price by setting the minimum initial bid to that starting price?

The user is asking:

All I seem to have is a field for "starting Bid". Please show him the screenshot I posted in the mssg above yours, and kindly ask where to enter a "minimum next bid"

That page is what Im looking at to create the listing. Those are the only fields showing

This is on a windows desktop, using both Firefox and Chrome

Maybe this is a desktop issue. I havent tried it on mobile. I use desktop because pics from phone are huge (intentionally) Its easier to resize and post using the desktop. I do everything ScapeCrunch on a desktop, other than occasionally browse killing time somewhere

I can start using a phone if its necessary

Thanks for checking on this

I assume the system doesn't allow you to control the minimum next bid?

Just to clarify.. 15.00 starting bid.. An auction with zero bids the starting bid will obviously be 15.00. The increments after that point are controlled in your options sections

I think the confusion is that the system shows the above "starting price" as zero when the seller added a starting price in the system. Yes, the system works correctly because the "starting bid" is = to "starting price" so the first bid is forced to be what the seller said is the starting price.

However, it is confusing, as you can see in the picture above. The item on the left has a starting price of $15. However, the system reflects it as starting price of $0.00. When I go in and try to bid, it properly forces me to bid at the $15 starting price. However, to me, the buyer, it seemed wrong as it says starting price is $0.00.

Is it possible to change the way the system reflects the starting price, in the above listing section, so that "Starting" = starting price set by seller?
