A new product by MojoRisin is available: Huddle v1.0.0 - Sixteen players. Four groups. Find what ties them.
Huddle takes the puzzle formula behind NYT Connections and rebuilds it around real sports rosters. Each day the game lays out sixteen current pro players from one of your active leagues, with four hidden groups of four woven through them — and it's on your members to spot what ties each four together.
The connections change every single day: same team, same college, same jersey number, same age, same position, same height, same years in the league, shared first names, first names that are cities. The four criteria are drawn fresh for every board, so there's no pattern to lean on — some days there's no team group at all. Groups run from an easy gold opener to a purple closer built to fool people, and every board is verified so exactly one arrangement solves it.
Select four players and submit. A right answer collapses the group into a colored band with the players' real photos; a wrong one burns a mistake, with "one away" called out when three of the four were right. Four mistakes and the board locks, revealing what everyone missed. The answers live server-side only — no peeking at the page source.
A clean board earns 5 points, minus one per mistake. The page carries a monthly top-five leaderboard — boards, perfect solves, average mistakes, streaks, and points — with your own streak and solve rate pinned in the header. Monthly board resets on the first; all-time records carry over.
Everything runs itself: a new board generates each day on board time, leagues rotate day by day, only players on current rosters are used, and recent groupings aren't repeated. Who can see and who can play is permission-controlled. Free to play, no currency required.
Requires the BoxScore data hub, which supplies the real rosters and player photos.
