A new product by MojoRisin is available: Reading Now v1.0.0 - See what the room is reading.
At the top, a big live count of everyone reading a thread right now. Under it, the top five threads by reader count, hottest first with a pulsing live marker. Every thread shows a pile of overlapping avatars — the actual members in that thread this moment — with a count of everyone else alongside. One glance tells a visitor the board is busy and shows them exactly where the action is.
The 30-minute activity strip charts the room filling up or thinning out, bar by bar. A peak bar compares right now against today's high point, and the hottest-thread callout at the bottom tracks the biggest single-thread crowd your board has ever had — a record your members will notice when it breaks.
Everything is a door. Thread titles jump straight into the thread, avatars go to the member, and the callout drops you into the hottest conversation on the board. Curiosity does the rest — nothing pulls members deeper into threads like seeing a crowd already in one.
It runs itself. The widget reads XenForo's own visitor data, so there is nothing to configure and nothing to maintain — no tracking added, no background tasks, no growing tables. Members only ever see threads they have permission to view, and invisible members are counted but never shown. Drop the widget in any position and it works.
