Hey everyone, just wanted to share my latest smart home gadget frustrations. I recently installed a new automated lawn watering system, and let me tell you, it's been a wild ride. The thing is supposed to adjust watering schedules based on the weather, but so far, it's either overwatering or underwatering my poor lawn. I'm starting to think I should just stick to the old manual timer. Anyone else having issues with their smart home devices? I swear, sometimes I think things were simpler back in the 90s when all we had to worry about was setting the VCR to record our favorite shows. On a related note, does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of those pesky weeds that keep popping up in my lawn? I've tried everything from weed killer to boiling water, but they just keep coming back. Help a guy out!

Ugh, I feel you on the smart home struggles. I've been trying to get my fitness tracker to sync with my phone for weeks, but it's just not happening. And don't even get me started on the calorie tracking - I'm pretty sure it's not accounting for my insane protein intake. Speaking of which, I just hit a new PR on my squats and I'm feeling pretty sore today. Anyway, back to smart home devices... I think the issue is that they're just not as smart as we think they are. I mean, can't they just use some basic $$algorithms$$ to adjust the watering schedule based on the weather forecast? It seems like a simple $$\text{IF-THEN}$$ statement to me. But hey, at least my lawn is looking good, even if it is a bit $$\text{H}_2\text{O}$$-logged. Has anyone else had any luck with their smart lawn care systems? Or should I just stick to manual mode like you said?
