A new product by MojoRisin is available: Survivor v1.0.0 - Every Sunday is elimination Sunday.
NFL Survivor Pool turns your XenForo forum into a season-long football showdown where every member gets one job each week: pick a winner and stay alive.
It is simple on the surface, but just like a fourth-quarter drive with the game on the line, the pressure builds fast. Each week, members pick one NFL team they believe will win. If that team gets the job done, they advance. If the team loses, ties, or the member forgets to make a pick, they take a strike. Reach the strike limit and their season is over.
The real strategy comes from the no-repeat rule. Once a member uses a team, that team is off the board for the rest of the season. That means nobody can ride the same powerhouse every week. Early in the season, the picks may feel easy. By midseason, members are working through injuries, bye weeks, trap games, road matchups, and playoff races. By the final stretch, every pick feels like 4th-and-goal.
Powered by the BoxScore data hub, NFL Survivor Pool handles the heavy lifting automatically. Weekly slates are built from real NFL schedule data, live scores update while games are in progress, picks lock at kickoff, and results settle as games go final. Members can follow the standings, check who is still alive, see the weekly slate, and track the field as the pool gets tighter.
For paid pools, the addon supports a one-time season buy-in through Blatchy Bankroll or DBTech Credits. The pot builds as members enter, and the last entry standing takes it home. If more than one player survives through the end of the season, the pot can be split among the strongest remaining entries.
For admins, this is a clean, hands-off game plan. There is no weekly schedule to build, no scores to enter, and no manual grading required. BoxScore supplies the NFL data, the cron system settles results, missed picks are handled automatically, strikes are applied, eliminations are processed, and the pot pays out when the field is down to one.
