Description​

Wordwatch — keyword alerts for the conversations you don't want to miss.

Save a keyword. Get notified the moment a new post matches. No more refreshing, no more scanning the latest threads, no more missing the one reply you actually cared about.

Three delivery modes

• Alert — instant notification in the bell menu
• Email — same as alert plus an email
• Daily digest — one rollup at your daily digest hour

Per-watch throttle (1–10/day) keeps one busy keyword from drowning out the rest.

For your users

• Card-based watches page with 7-day activity sparkline and latest match preview per watch
• Color-coded filter chips with mobile overflow menu
• Empty-state callout on search results: when a search returns nothing, Wordwatch offers to watch that query going forward
• Forum filter, user filter, exclude terms (-foo), exact phrases ("trade deadline")

For admins

• Configurable max watches per user, batch size, match retention, digest hour
• Two widget positions on the watches page (sidebar + sidenav)
• Permission-gated — grant per user group
• Native XF integration: XF alert system, XF email pipeline, theme tokens that auto-adapt to light/dark/custom palettes

Built for scale
The matcher only ever scans new posts since the last run. Alert dispatch is deferred to a background job, so a busy forum doesn't slow down the cron tick.

Forward-looking only. Wordwatch catches new matches going forward — for searching existing content, use the standard search.
